My name is Dayo. I was born in Nigeria to first generation Togolese parents. Growing up, I loved to watch my maternal grandmother cook, when my sister and I spent the long holidays with her in Lomé. Her use of traditional home grown roots and spices was inspiring.
My cooking is based on the use of natural ingredients to flavour and enhance your experience of West African cooking.
During my time at University studying Engineering, I watched and practised cooking with house mates from different parts of the world. Since becoming a mother I have adapted those and my grandmother’s recipes and introduced western techniques to the delight of my family and friends.
I love cooking and after changing careers from R&D to teaching, I am drawn back to my love of cooking.
Have a go and I am sure you will love my food.
